Vernon Wells jacked a two-run home run to deep left field during the top of the first to give the Yankees an early 2-0 lead, but that wasn’t even the most impressive part of the play. A single fan was sitting out in left and smoothly snagged the home run ball in his hat. He casually stood there accepting praise for the grab and brushed a little dirt off of his shoulders in the process.
