This isn’t the first instance of fake umpires at a baseball game but that doesn’t make it any less hilarious. During the Mets-Nationals game on Sunday night at Citi Field, two men dressed up in full umpire gear and sat in the first row behind home plate.
According to First Giving, they were raising money for UMPS CARE Charities, the official non-profit organization of Major League Baseball umpires. The pair easily surpassed their $5,000 goal and also provided some awesome entertainment:
