The man accused of ruining the Cubs’ shot at reaching 2003 World Series is hated by only a fraction of those who initially wished to basically end his life 12 years, but we can only assume it’s still a large number.
The diehard Cubs fan has basically disappeared from public view since that infamous incident and likely has not been back to Wrigley Field (at least not without a serious disguise and presidential-like security), but one fellow fan wants him to be a part of the playoffs this season.
A GoFundMe page has been started to send Bartman to the Wild Card game. As of Friday afternoon, it had raised $1,553 of the $5,000 goal in three days:
