Think about it, no human umpires, just robot umpires? Oddly enough, the timing for this pitch by C.C. Sabathia comes at an uneasy (and slightly controversial) moment in baseball where the human element is being challenged by instant replay. I honestly wouldn’t put it past a sport like baseball to have an automated umpire of sorts (at least behind the plate for balls and strokes). Until then, we will still enjoy the game as it is meant to be played.
