Brandon Phillips has won four Gold Glove awards throughout his career, and it’s easy to see why.
The Cincinnati Reds second baseman threw his hat in the ring for “Best Play of the Year” honors Monday against the Chicago Cubs. Jorge Soler hit a hard grounder up the middle when Phillips slid to his right to make the tough stop and made a jaw-dropping behind-the-back flip to second, saving a run from scoring.
