Reigning National League Cy Young winner Blake Snell is currently the most high-profile free agent pitcher on the market, and it sounds like the New York Yankees are making a move in pursuit of the ace pitcher.
According to a report from Major League Baseball insider Mark Feinsand of MLB.com, Blake Snell “has an offer on the table” from the New York Yankees as he considers where he wants to sign ahead of the 2024 MLB season.
“Blake Snell has an offer on the table from the Yankees, per source, though the Angels and Giants remain possibilities for the reigning NL Cy Young winner,” Feinsand said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.

Obviously, this is pretty significant news for both Snell and the Yankees, and it naturally led to a lot of reactions on social media as a result.

Last season, Snell finished with a 14-9 record with a 2.25 ERA and 234 strikeouts for the San Diego Padres. It was easily his best season since winning he won his first Cy Young Award when he was with the Tampa Bay Rays back in 2018.
We’ll have to see where Snell lands and if he can keep up that dominance this season.
