On Tuesday, artist Connor Wright was invited by the St. Louis Cardinals to make a mosaic of Cards’ legend Stan Musial out of Rubik’s Cubes.

The most amazing thing about this piece of art (and the sheer size and number of components is breath-taking in and of itself) is the fact that each cube had to fit a certain pattern in order to create the proper shading for the whole piece. The piece wasn’t composed of solved Rubick’s Cubes, as one can see from this image here, provided by the Cardinals Twitter account.
