Atlanta Braves shortstop Andrelton Simmons made this outstanding defensive play on Wednesday night at Citi Field against the Mets, leaving a lot of jaws hanging in the process. Simmons’ play was so great not only because he showed off amazing range and athleticism, but because he also prevented the Mets from plating the game-tying run while doing so. Atlanta was clinging to a 3-2 lead in the eighth inning when Simmons came to the rescue and helped them hang on to the lead and, ultimately ,the win.
