Tonight the Seattle Mariners held the first ever Safeco Field Open House, allowing fans the first opportunity to see the stadium’s recent renovations and watch the first game of the season on the new high-definition video screen. There’s been a lot of hype surrounding the new screen, and rightfully so. It’s 201.5 feet wide and 56.7 feet tall, which is wider than an Olympic swimming pool is long and taller than a five-story building. I was sure to take plenty of pictures of the gigantic screen as I was in attendance to watch the Mariners beat the Oakland A’s 2-0.
