Why in fact it is Albert Pujols and Jim Hendry (the Cubs GM) hugging before the Cubs v Cardinals game on Monday night. Sensing some backlash from this photo Hendry shot a preemptive quote regarding it:
“I can’t win,” a bemused Hendry said. “I like Albert. We’ve always gotten along. He’s a great, great player. I admire the heck out of him. He plays the game the right way every day.”
As a Cub fan I hope the two continue to keep up this healthy relationship and we will see Albert at Wrigley next year for 81 games.
