People are finally noticing an awesome addition to IKEA stores in Germany. The massive Swedish home furniture and accessory manufacturer and retailer have been giving shoppers an opportunity to stop by their stores even if the dog is in the car.
According to the Daily Edge, the dog parking bays were introduced at a few of their German stores three years ago but most people, including German IKEA shoppers, didn’t know they existed until recently. It’s unclear if the original motive behind the move was to keep dogs out of hot cars, but it’s a safe bet. Increased animal safety awareness and the horrifying incident last month in which a dog died at an IKEA in Spain are two of the biggest reasons why they’re getting more attention.
