February is a quietly great time of year in the world of high school basketball, as it’s when teams across America honor their seniors the night of their final regular season home games. Every so often, among thousands upon thousands of Senior Night celebrations, we bear witness to incredible moments like the one in the video above. Kevin Grow, a senior at Bensalem High School in Pennsylvania, has been the equipment manager for the boy’s basketball team for the last four seasons. He also has Down Syndrome and has never suited up for a game, let alone played in one.
That all changed Saturday night, when head coach John Mullin rewarded Grow for his dedication to the team by inserting him in the last 90 seconds of the game. Grow went on a tear, scoring a game-high 14 points, including four three pointers — not to mention restoring our faith in pretty much everything.
