Michael Beaty of Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis, Ind. knew time was running out in the first quarter. The heady high school basketball player took down the defensive rebound and almost in one motion heaved the ball over the defender and miraculously into the basket that was 85-feet away. Beaty’s long-distance Hail Mary was wasted because Ben Davis lost to Pike by the score of 52-50.
