Georgia State coach Ron Hunter has certainly made a name for himself during this year’s NCAA Tournament.
Hunter’s team pulled off a fantastic upset against Baylor during which Hunter fell off his chair in celebration after his son, R.J. Hunter, hit the game-winning shot.

The moment went viral and Hunter was naturally asked whether he’d have the chair again for Georgia State’s next game. Hunter was adamant that he’d not only use that same chair, he’d take it home with him after the tournament.
I’m definitely using the same chair. That chair has been locked and covered right now. That chair has more protection than the President of the United States right now. I want that chair back. I don’t know where they got it from, but that chair, it will stay with me for the rest of my life. Whenever we leave, I’m taking that chair with me. Win, lose or draw, that chair is going to be in my house with me the rest of my life.
Considering that Hunter had to have his cast re-plastered after the fall, one has to hope that he’ll be a little more careful for Georgia State’s next game against Xavier on Saturday.
