Transgender athletes competing in sports has been a hot-button topic in America recently. Although there’s been no verified advantage to trans athletes competing in sports by their identified gender, there are people who are avidly opposed to letting the athletes compete.
Some athletes are just head and shoulders above others, as is a natural fact of sports. Such was the case in California, when a high school trans athlete scored 29 points in a high school basketball game that her team won 59-33, nearly outscoring the opposing team herself.
Insanityđ¨đ¨Last night, male player, Henry Hanlon, scored 29 points to lead San Francisco Waldorf High School girlsâ basketball team.
Jewish Community High School played a valiant game against a team with the very evident unfair advantage of a male player. Final score 59-33.⌠pic.twitter.com/VakAlnU3R9

Some people, evidently opposed to free and fair competition, were not all too pleased with the dominant performance.
“Any female team that plays a team with a male (masquerading as a female) should take the court but never take a shot and lose with a score of 0. The zero would indicate the female teamâs zero tolerance of males in female sports,” one person who doesn’t understand the concept of transgenderism wrote on Twitter.
“2025. And we still have some who simply wonât admit that XX â XY. My daughter plays high school basketball. My son would love to play, but he will never make the menâs team despite his height. But he doesnât get to take my daughterâs place on her team just because there isnât a place for him on the menâs team. Forcing women to comply with this is neither compassionate nor kind. In Idaho, we do NOT compel speech. When the emperor has no clothes, we shouldnât pretend otherwise,” another confused person added.
“the other team should have stayed on the bench in protest and every team that plays them should do the same. Pretty soon the team with the guy will realize cheating to win is wrong,” added one person who is evidently afraid to compete.
“They should have refused to play. That’s not fair I grant you, but it’s the only way! Until teenage human girls and adult human females are prepared to make that kind of stand, nothing is going to change. Sad and terrible but true đ wishing you all well,” added another person who would rather not even try when things get tough.
Hopefully, people come around on this topic sooner rather than later.
