EA Sports invited a bunch of NFL rookies to guess their rating in the upcoming Madden 16.
Most of the players guessed that they’d be placed in the eighties (Jameis Winston estimated 84 or 82, Amari Cooper placed himself at 86, while Marcus Mariota guessed that he’d get an 80) although the Colts’ Phillip Dorsett confidently gave himself a rating of 95.
EA recorded the players’ reactions to seeing their Madden rating for the first time. Needless to say, while some were happy, skepticism seemed to be the predominant response among the NFL rooks.
Per EA Sports’ own ratings, here are the top ten rookies in Madden 16.
10. Vic Beasley – 77
9. Marcus Mariota – 78
9. Kevin White – 78
9. Melvin Gordon – 78
6. Dante Fowler – 79
5. Brandon Scherff – 80
5. Leonard Williams – 80
5. Todd Gurley – 80
2. Jameis Winston – 81 (Winston’s guess really was pretty accurate)
1. Amari Cooper – 82
Judging by this list, Dorsett has a long way to go to get that coveted 95 rating.
