2,717 fans at Taylor University did a fantastic job at keeping one of the best traditions in college basketball alive this Friday night. Every Friday before fall semester finals week for the past ten years, Taylor University students and fans stay completely silent for the first nine points of the game. As soon as the 10th point is made, each of the costume wearing fans goes absolutely bonkers jumping around and screaming. This year the fans once again came through when the 10th point went through the hoop against Akron-Wayne.
The tradition has even inspired Illinois to try their hand at a Silent night of their own.
