Famous Spanish soccer club Real Madrid has released its plans to open a tourist complex and theme park in January of 2015. Dubbed ‘Real Madrid Resort Island’ the $1 billion project will host a number of different attractions from roller coasters and water parks to a five-star hotel, a shopping mall, a marina, a museum of the club and a 10,000 seat stadium that will have one side completely open to the sea.

The club hopes to have one million visitors in its first year of being open with hopes to expand the clubs popularity throughout different parts of the world. Real Madrid president Florentino Perez said, “it is a decisive and strategic step that will strengthen our institution in the Middle East and Asia.” This is something no other club or sports team has done ever before and it will surely be a sight to see so if you have the money and love Real Madrid, this sounds like the place for you.
