If there is one thing that NFL fans should know, it is never to bet against the Baltimore Ravens’ Ray Lewis. Ray is arguably one of the most dedicated, passionate and resilient players in the NFL and according to reports from Yahoo! Sports, Ray could be proving those characteristics true again.
More than half a dozen sources told Yahoo! Sports that legendary linebacker Ray Lewis, believed to be lost for the season after suffering a torn triceps in mid-October, is expected to return before the end of the 2012 campaign, perhaps as early as the Ravens’ Dec. 16 showdown with the AFC West-leading Denver Broncos at M&T Bank Stadium.
The sources cited plasma therapy as one of the main reasons for the expedited recovery, and because of that the Ravens’ linebacker could possibly be available to practice late this week. Coach Jim Harbaugh and teh Ravens’ believed that Ray would somehow be able to re-join the team this year, and accordingly he was put on injured reserve but also designated to return. The Ravens are in the middle of a heated AFC title hunt, and you can bet that Ray Lewis will be doing everything he can to be ready to suit up for a showdown against Peyton Manning’s Broncos on Dec. 16th.
