Reports are that the NBA warned, but did not fine J.R. Smith for untying Shawn Marion’s left shoe during a game. So if he did get off scot-free he is really pushing his luck because on Tuesday night he was back attempting to untie shoes. Tonight’s near victim was Gregg Monroe of the Detroit Pistons. Once again during a free throw attempt Smith reached down to untie Monroe’s kicks, but was unable to finish the prank. Every player in the Association should be on notice and double knot their sneakers when playing the Knicks.
