People get passionate, even down right crazy, about their favorite sports teams. This is nothing new. Whether it’s due to betting, hatred for the opposing team or just pure, life-long love for a certain team, sports fans worldwide have all felt the joys and pains of their favorite team winning and losing.
How people express those feelings about their team, however, varies from person to person. Most people get mad and scream and yell when their team makes a bad play and cheer and high-five when their team makes a good play. But this Ravens fan takes it to a whole other level. In all my life, I have never seen a grown man act the way this guy does when his team makes a GOOD play.
This unnamed Ravens fan was watching the divisional playoff matchup between the Denver Broncos and his beloved Baltimore Ravens from the comfort of his own home, but, thankfully, his wife recorder her husband’s reactions and put it on YouTube for the world to see. No words I can write will do these reactions justice, so just set aside the next five minutes of your life and watch these videos. Absolutely priceless.
This is his reaction to Ray Rice’s touchdown in the third quarter that tied the game.
His reaction to Jacoby Jones’ touchdown that sent the game into overtime. Unreal.
And the final reaction to the interception in overtime that led to the game-winning field goal.
After watching these videos, I can only hope that his wife continues to record his reactions for the remainder of the season, and perhaps for every significant moment for the rest of his life. Can you imagine what his reaction will be like if the Ravens beat the Patriots next week? If they make it to the Super Bowl? If they WIN the Super Bowl?
I was pulling for a Patriots-49ers Super Bowl matchup, but after seeing this guy, I hope the Ravens win it all.
