Sophomore Jeremiah Headley will never forget his beastly poster he bestowed during the CIF state championship Division II final on Saturday night in Sacramento, and for good reason. Headley took no mercy on a poor defender from Pleasant Hill College Park, and literally kicked him in the face on accident while jumping over him. The dunk helped solidify Redondo’s 54-47 victory over College Park and also landed Redondo their first state basketball title in school history.
Redondo’s coach was quoted as saying “that play is a play for the ages,” and we would have to agree.
