Dwight Howard had a monster game in Dallas last night (33 points, 11 rebounds) but he probably wishes he had this one back. In a five-point game towards the end of the fourth quarter, a heckling Mavs fan got to Howard and prodded him enough to cause the Rockets’ center to toss the ball in the heckler’s direction following a foul under the basket.
The refs saw the sequence and slapped Howard with a technical foul (the right call), giving the Mavs a free point in a tight game. The Rockets would go on to lose by three, blowing a 14-point fourth quarter lead in the process.
