Derrick Rose just got paid! Only two months after signing his five-year, $95 million extension with the Chicago Bulls, D-Rose has just signed a shoe deal with Adidas that is worth a reported $25o million over 14 years. The official deal is 13 years worth $185 million, but a 14th year could potentially push it over the $200 million mark. This will make him a “lifetime” member of the Adidas family and goes down as the second largest shoe contract in history. Behind who you ask? The other Chicago Bull, Michael Jordan of course. The 23 year old point guard, who is the reigning MVP, signed the deal on Friday before the all star weekend in Orlando, Florida. When asked about the deal Rose said, “it’s definitely a blessing.” Good to see the young superstar staying humble. We’re happy for you Mr. Rose, congrats.
