The Chicago Cubs have finally released the proposed Wrigley Field renovation mock-ups and we have them for your viewing pleasure. Cubs chairman Tom Ricketts made it clear that the team will need to explore options which may include moving out of Wrigley if they can not get approval for more signage inside of Wrigley. The renovation mock-ups include the new left-field video-board which Ricketts is referring to (in part) in terms of more signage. The video-board has been a big bone of contention between the Cubs owner and rooftop owners surrounding Wrigley.
According to the Cubs:
Ricketts has proposed a $300 million renovation plan for the 99-year-old ballpark and an additional $200 million investment in the community, including the building of a hotel across Clark Street.
If approved, the proposed renovations would begin as soon as this offseason.
