Blake Griffin pretty much killed the whole “jumping over a car” dunk when he leaped over a Kia at the Slam Dunk Contest back in 2011.
That didn’t stop Michael Purdie from attempting a similar dunk at the Washington DC City Slam Dunk Contest earlier this month. However, while Blake’s dunk was successful and ridiculously boring in execution, Purdie’s dunk was a pretty alarming-looking failure as the man tumbled into the car that he was trying to jump over.
According to Ball is Life, Purdie was not hurt during the attempt so feel free to chuckle, especially considering how he truly is a really talented dunker.
Even the best have an off-day occasionally.
