Wednesday marked the 21st Anniversary of the most infamous and oddest police chase in American history. On June 17, 1994, O.J. Simpson led police on a low-speed chase through the Los Angeles metropolitan area. Nicole Simpson and Ronald Goldman were founded murdered four days earlier and investigators were almost immediately led to the former football player.
After lawyers supposedly convinced Simpson to turn himself in, authorities and bystanders awaited him at 11:00 AM at an LAPD police station. Seven hours after failing to appear at the station, he was spotted by a motorist in Orange County driving his white Ford Bronco. What followed was nearly two hour-long police chase around southern California, one that featured two dozen police cars in pursuit, numerous helicopters and large crowds lining highways and overpasses.
