If you haven’t heard, Breaking Bad‘s mastermind meth dealer Walter White died. The fictional character was laid to rest in the show’s epic finale, but fans of the show said they’re final goodbyes with a fake funeral in Albuquerque, N.M., where the show was set and filmed. The faux funeral was complete with a procession led by a hearse and White’s RV. Some 200 fans paid money to attend and to throw dirt on the empty coffin, which was placed in a real gravesite with a headstone. Breaking Bad set decorator Michael Flowers delivered the sympathetic eulogy. The best part of the pretend funeral was that it raised $17,000 for Albuquerque’s Healthcare for the Homeless organization. However some are not so excited over the grave because they believe the iconic tombstone will bring tourists to the cemetery.
The memorable came two weeks after fans ran a delightful fake obituary in the Albuquerque Journal. No word on if Jesse Pinkman attended the ceremony.
