The Sandlot may have taken place just outside Los Angeles, but the field used in the film was actually in Salt Lake City — which is where the cast found itself reunited on Saturday in celebration of the film’s 20th anniversary. Cast members in attendance included Hambino, Squints, Smalls, Yeah-Yeah, Timmy Timmons, and even Daniel Zacapa, who played the scary police chief in the creepy black and white flashbacks (the man responsible for “For-evvvvvvv-errrrrrrr”).
The field was made over to resemble the 1950s-era look of the original, while cast members and players from the AAA Salt Lake Bees gave a clinic. All photos are courtesy of the Salt Lake Tribune.
