We’re only two days away from the Black Eyed Peas ruining yet another NBA broadcast, so go ahead and mute whatever shitty intro the dolts at ESPN have cooked up and watch this “NBA on NBC”-style intro instead. This harkens back to the days when NBC promoted the NBA as must-see event television, as opposed to ABC’s approach, which is simply a tool for obnoxious pop artists to flaunt their god-awful singles.
If you’re wondering where the voice over came from, it’s the intro from the 2001 NBA Finals between Shaq’s Lakers and Allen Iverson’s Sixers.
