Wednesday night during the ESPYs, Devon Still accepted the Jimmy V Perseverance Award on behalf of his daughter Leah.
Leah’s battle with cancer has been well-documented by the media over the past year, but it’s never easy to write stories that capture the emotion behind what Devon and his five-year-old daughter have been through. In his powerful speech, Devon did just that as he walked us through some of the challenging obstacles he and Leah dealt with throughout the process. Though Leah couldn’t be in attendance, she still had a message for everyone at the end.
You might want to have a tissue box ready.
