How many lay-offs? One! Two! Three! Three lay-offs! AH AH AH AH AH!
One of the most absolute guarantees in life is that change will come. No matter what we do, or how much we resist, change of some kind happens and we have to deal with it. That doesn’t mean, however, that we’ll necessarily be happy about it.
Twitter certainly wasn’t too keen when it was revealed that, according to KQ ED and podcast The MuppetCast, that Sesame Street had let go of three members of its human cast. Bob, Luis, and Gordon are three of the oldest tenants on Big Bird’s block, spending years teaching kids how to spell and not questioning why they let a green thing live in their garbage, but will do so no more.
These evictions are coming along as the show is transitioning to HBO, who had stated earlier in the year that there would be some “evolution” to show. Regardless, fans and media alike did not take the news very well, and went to their favorite yelling ground of Twitter to let everyone know.
