1. Slaughterhouse (Joel Ortiz, Crooked I, Royce Da 5’9″ and Joe Budden)
Da Heavy Hitter: Joel Ortiz
Should Be Pinch Hit For: No one
This was not Slaughterhouse’s first appearance in a BET cypher, as the hip hop supergroup were prominently featured in the Shady Records 2.0 cypher, aka the best BET cypher of all-time, back in 2011.
The crew of veterans pick up right where they left off a few years ago with another stellar showing and the top performance of this year. Because we are a sports website, we’ll give top dog honors to Joel Ortiz for his Shaq, Matt Ryan and Lamar Odom references but realistically any of the four rappers could have grabbed the top spot.
