The world of online dating is filled with countless niche sites, catering to customers based on religion, sexual orientation, race, or just wanting to get freaky with another lonely person on the Internet. Unfortunately, the road to true love can hit a snag when it comes to team affiliations. Enter, GreenBayPackersLovers.com (clever name), the dating site for Cheeseheads who want avoid accidentally meeting someone who fancies themselves a fan of the Bears or Vikings.
The site launched in March and already boasts roughly 1,000 members (good news, ladies, there’s a 2-to-1 ratio of guys to girls!). It also isn’t limited to Wisconsin-ites, or else how would the Packers fans of America find true love online? Founder Kelly Davis issued a press release describing the venture:
“This is a state of the art dating website with the ability to participate in forums, real time full featured chat with members, send messages, receive messages, send winks, build a friends and hot people list, ban others from contacting you, see who has visited your profile, see who has winked at you, upload photos and decide whether they’ll be private or public, and even a built in calendar to keep track of important dates and public events planned for the community.”
