We highly suggest not watching this video in a public place. In one of the better videos you will see this year, check out as 40-year-old Joanne Milne tests out her new cochlear implants for the first time. Joanne has been deaf since she was a child after being born with Usher Syndrome.
According to The Journal:
Born deaf, and now registered blind, it has taken 40 years for Joanne from Low Fell, Gateshead, to finally get her wish after medics this week flicked the switch on her cochlear implants.
After undergoing surgery last month, Joanne had an agonising four-week wait to find out if the operation had been a success.
