I’ve been a fan of dubstep for a while now, but that’s mostly because it makes me feel cool to say that. Luckily for me, the somewhat obscure genre has just gotten a little bit cooler. By adding a few mods on an Xbox Kinect, some homies at the Boston Ableton User Group have brought us one step closer to a Nick Arcade/Guitar Hero mashup that is begging to be marketed to every 22 to 30-year-old on the planet. They used an open-source Xbox Kinect to control the oscillator on a ProTools rig while running an Ableton loop, which seems to be pretty fun. (N00bz Read: I whip my hair back and forth, I whip my hair back and forth…).
