Ah, let the hating commence. The first person to successfully rap and sing, also known as Sir Drizzy Drake, has been given a National Championship Ring from the University of Kentucky. Why? Well, good question. Drake shared a photograph of his personalized ring via his Instagram today.
This is a either a very strange or very genius gesture by the University. Other than the small fact that he performed at the first “Big Blue Madness” ceremony after Calipari was named head coach, there really doesn’t seem to be a logical explanation for his deservedness. I love me some Drake as much as the next white girl, but this just seems weird. I suppose this makes Ellen Page eligible for a Stanley Cup ring from the L.A. Kings for her appearance at a playoff game this year. I wonder if this will become a trend in the sports world.
