Artist Jay Shells is about to make your mundane street signs much more entertaining. The artist started a project called “Rap Quotes,” where he placed signs of hip hop lyrics in New York City to the corresponding locations where they actually happened. The idea was such a hit that he has gone to Los Angeles to provide a walking tour of hip hop. Some of the rhymes that he utilizes are from rappers such as Kendrick Lamar, Ice Cube and Xzibit. Shells has put over 30 rap quotes in his L.A. version. You can check out his NYC version here.
