It was assumed that the LEGO Movie would at least get nominated for an Oscar in 2015 and many guessed that it could even win. Unfortunately for the minds behind the animated film, they didn’t even receive a nomination for Best Animated Film. The decision came as a surprise and disappointment to a lot of people, but one of the film’s directors/writers took it in stride and issued a fantastic response.
Philip Lord took to Twitter a couple hours after the announcement to let everyone know that it’s all good:
