David Wright made his long-awaited return to the Mets lineup in style Monday night against the Phillies.
After four months on the disabled list recovering from a spinal stenosis injury, Wright crushed a homer over the left field wall in his first at-bat. Mets fans have been waiting far too long for their captain to return, and The Big Lead’s Rob Perez created an awesome “David Wright Rises” parody to celebrate the occasion.
