Michigan athletics’ social media folks received an unpleasant surprise late Tuesday night/early Wednesday morning. Someone had hacked into three of Athletics Facebook pages: Football, Men’s Basketball and Athletics.
According to the Detroit News, the first post, “Most Extreme Selfies You’ll Ever See” appeared at 3:30 AM EST. Then they posted a video of Miley Cyrus twerking on Santa Claus, “Stars Without Underwear on the Red Carpet”, photos of tattooed moms and finally a photo of Kim Kardashian in a skimpy bikini:
Michigan Athletics tweeted out a non-apology acknowledgement later Wednesday morning:
Fans of U-M Athletics: We want to acknowledge that our Facebook pages for Michigan Football, Basketball, and Athletics have been hacked.
