Rick Reilly is in New York/Jersey this week, doing Rick Reilly things, which includes a report from Super Bowl Media Day on Tuesday, where he said some not-very-nice/wrong things about various people. He referred to Olympic gymnast Gabby Douglas as Arizona congresswoman Gabby Giffords, while calling Fox Sports 1’s Regis Philbin as “the little guy in the makeup”. Well, that didn’t sit well with Philbin’s “Crowd Goes Wild” co-host Katie Nolan, who mowed Reilly down with some epic truth bombs:
- “Knowing Rick, he probably borrowed that line from a column he wrote ten years ago.”
- “Speaking of not knowing who people are, this was right after he mistook two-time Olympic gold medalist Gabby Douglas for inspirational congresswoman Gabby Giffords.”
- “Your greatest hits include misquoting your own father-in-law, demanding that Stuart Scott credit you for a tweet, being so lazy that you repeatedly rip off yourself, having a website that looks like it was created in 1996, and posing for this picture.”
