Shia LaBeouf is a talented actor with a checkered legal history. The Transformers star has been arrested for disorderly conduct multiple times, including last weekend when he was charged with public drunkenness, disorderly conduct, and obstruction. This time, there’s a video of his arrest and it’s not pretty.
In the video, acquired by TMZ, LaBeouf goes OFF on a police officer for being arrested. The 31-year-old actor continually calls the officer a “bitch,” while threatening him by saying “If I had my gun I’ll blow your shit up.” It doesn’t get much better from there, as LaBeouf tells the officer “fuck you and your legacy,” and weirdly brings up race, saying “you put your own kind in the fucking pen. For nothing.”
LaBeouf’s public performance art and personal life are incredibly bizarre and interesting. However, his well-documented legal troubles, most of which are alcohol related, are becoming more and more depressing and concerning to see. In my opinion, LaBeouf is one of the most talented actors working now. It’s a shame how his personal life has become so much of a shit show.
Whether or not what LaBeouf initially did or said was enough to justify getting arrested, the decision seems fully warranted with the following blatant disrespect towards the police officer. Hopefully, this is the last time we hear Shia’s name in relation to legal trouble.
