The tremendously entertaining Bill Simmons-Doc Rivers beef just got real a few minutes ago, after a quote from Doc accusing Simmons of (essentially) conspiring to have him removed as head coach of the Celtics, was tweeted out. Simmons responded to the allegations by dropping Doc’s real name, Glenn, indicating the beef has moved into the realm of serious business.
Something tells us this spat won’t be resolved either soon, or over mai tais in the sweltering heat of the Las Vegas Summer League. Grab your popcorn.
