I am going to be the first person to say that this is not Activision’s fault, as some people are just idiots, but it definitely isn’t good press. We have seen violence occur in midnight openings for shoes and other items, now you can add video games to the list. Last night during a midnight opening, in Koreatown (CA), a man in a wheelchair was shot while waiting in line for the new “Call of Duty” video game.
According to KTLA:
He was involved in some sort of altercation with another person, which quickly turned serious.
The man in the wheelchair was shot in the stomach, but he was conscious and alert as he was wheeled to an ambulance on scene.
Police responded and immediately began searching for the gunman.
“The suspect fired multiple shots multiple shots, hitting the victim in the abdomen,” said Lt. S. Hosea, of the LAPD’s Olympic Division.
Really, people?
