This looks like something straight out of Prometheus. While filming a movie called “Chasing Ice,” filmmaker James Balog and teammate filmed the largest iceberg break-up ever captured. Watching the event unfold is pretty surreal, I can only imagine how they felt seeing it happen in person.

After weeks of waiting, the filmakers witnessed 7.4 cubic km of ice crashing off the Ilulissat glacier in Greenland. Chasing Ice, released in the UK on Friday, follows James Balog’s mission to documentArctic ice being melted by climate change.
