Jason Momoa, best known for portraying Khal Drogo in HBO’s Game of Thrones, has officially signed on to play the role of Aquaman in Zack Snyder’s upcoming Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice, according to Variety. It’s still unknown if Momoa has also signed on for the Justice League movie that will follow, but that’s probably a good bet.
Momoa joins a cast that already includes Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, and Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane reprising their roles from Man of Steel.
It’ll be interesting to see if Momoa has his hair dyed blonde to fit the Aquaman description we grew up with. Regardless, he seems like a pretty good choice to become Lord of the Seahorses.
