It’s safe to say it’s been a pretty bad week for Tesla and X CEO Elon Musk. After Tesla announced large-scale layoffs on Monday and lost two of its highest-ranking executives, the company is now dealing with an absolutely massive recall of its iconic Cybertruck after a potentially dangerous flaw was revealed.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced on Monday that Tesla is recalling all 3,878 Cybertrucks that it has shipped to date due to a problem that could cause the accelerator to become stuck and put drivers in danger. Tesla confirmed that the pedal can dislodge, slide up, and get stuck in a downward position.

The issues seem to have impacted the company’s standing on Wall Street, as well, as Tesla has seen a nearly 13 percent dip in its stock price since Monday between the layoffs and the massive recall. Tesla stock has fallen more than 39 percent this year to date.

This is obviously pretty horrible news all around for Elon Musk and it’s led to a lot of reactions on social media as people criticized the billionaire CEO.

Tesla has vowed to replace or rework the accelerator pedal on all existing Cybertrucks and has started building Cybertrucks with a new accelerator pedal to remedy the issue of the stuck accelerator.
