Well we’re six days into 2015 and already have a contender for the year’s album of the year. DMX will return January 13th with the surprise release of Redemption of the Beast. This will the first new music from X since 2012’s Undisputed. It will also be his first release since the infamous Slingshot ride.
The 16 track album can be previewed now on Amazon but will also be released on iTunes as well as a physical format at indie retailers. The release will include appearances from Freeway, Rampage, and Jannyce.
According to a press release, DMX’s eighth studio album will feature “X’s signature heavy-hitting, fast-paced lyrics, classic Ruff Ryder beats, and moments of reflection on his experience in the rap game.” That’s all the convincing I need, I’m preordering right now!
