I have always (and strongly) believed that there are incredible healing powers within music that will and can never be scientifically documented. The below video piece shows a fairly old man in a nursing home who reacts to music in a way in which should bring a smile to your face, if not a tear.
Meet Henry, a long-time nursing home resident who passes his time in a melancholy state of near-silence. Everything changes when caretakers give him an iPod loaded with tunes of long ago. Just like that, he comes to life: “I’m crazy about music! It gives me a feeling of love.”
